 2 Timothy 1:3
... I thank God for you—the God I serve with a clear conscience, just as my ancestors did. Night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers.

I've cried sad tears today, and I've cried happy tears today. Saying good-bye is so very hard at the end of the year. It's not like I am not going to see each of the kiddos again, it's just knowing that they won't be coming in every day to OUR classroom...in MY care. It's just hard. I love them, and I love all of you parents, too. Thank you for the blessing of this year.

I don't even have words to express how shocked I am with the class gift! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I've always admired Le Crueset cookware and dreamed of owning some one day. But, I never expected to be GIVEN one of their products. I am overwhelmed with your thoughtfulness and generosity! Thank you, oh, so much!

In closing, know this is true, "Once an Ant, always an Ant."
Love, Lisa

Your last set of signed papers is coming home today. Look them over, sign the envelope, and return them to school tomorrow. Please be sure to remove the composition book inside. This represents weeks of work by your child and is their 5th Grade Autobiography. Keep it for them until they are grown, and then pass it back to them! The rubric for this project is in the signed paper envelope...it is hot pink, so you can't miss it.

I believe I have all grades entered on Renweb, so you should be able to log in and view your child's 4th Quarter averages. Report cards will be mailed home.

I am working on getting grades closed out. Unless your child has something to make up from being absent, I should have everything entered this evening.

Next week:
Monday and Tuesday are regular school days. We will be working as usual, but I will not be assigning homework.
Wednesday through Friday are Early Dismissal days. Be here at 11:30 to pick up your Ant.
On Wednesday, we will have "A Day at the Movies" and the class will vote on what we will show. Feel free to send drinks, popcorn, and snacks to share.
On Thursday, we will have Field Day from 10:00-11:00. Water is involved in come events, so be sure your child has a towel. After school, the class is invited to the Pool Party at Indigo Palms.
On Friday, we will be having Awards Day at 9:15 in the Loft. Please, come if you can!
