Tree Sales

Thanks to Anita Whitehurst, Heather Jackson, and Amy Carter for responding to our need for volunteers for our shift (December 10 from 3:00-8:00) of Christmas Tree Sales! If you have not signed up, but are available to help out, please let me know! Thanks to Tilease Cleckley, Brenda French, Kim Murray, Lynn Varella, and Sandra Garib for providing drinks, snacks, and paper products for the volunteers!

Welcome Back!

It has been a great, but busy day back from Thanksgiving Break! Please note the $5 materials fee for Science homework. This is to cover the cost of rocks, minerals, and chemicals I will be ordering for the children as we move into our rocks and minerals unit. If you send a check, please make it payable to Lisa Harrell, as I already used my credit card to place the order!

As I sit here today, I count my many blessings. Among them, are praises and thanksgivings for my job at Cathedral Academy. I am so blessed to come to work with your children each day. Enjoy your time off with them this week! Happy Thanksgiving!

Foster Home Needed!


John, our Diamondback Terrapin, needs a Foster Home for Thanksgiving Break. If you would like to take him home for the break, call me or e-me and let me know. Thanks!

No Signed Papers This Week!

Because of the shortened week, there will be no signed papers this week. Look for a packet to go home the Monday after we return from Thanksgiving. I can't thank our Filing Fairy, Ginny Lagger, enough for her gift of time in preparing these each week for us!

If you have not returned your FunSaver book sample, please do so by Wednesday. We have about 6 that haven't been returned. Thank you!

Indian Lunch

Thanks so much to Sandra Garib who cooked an Indian lunch for all of us today as a wrap-up to our study of India! The menu included:
Pooris with a chutney sauce, stuffed pastry with veggies called samosas, nann fresh-made bread, and curry chicken with light yogurt sauce.

The Fantastic Ants will need all hands on deck for Christmas Tree Sales on Friday, December 10 from 3:00-8:00 p.m! Please let me know ASAP if you are available to work. If you are unable to work, perhaps you might consider providing food. Christmas tree sales directly benefit all CA students with funds for curriculum needs!
